Karello's Cindy Crawford Grand Champion
ONE SHOW GRAND!!! Granded 02/17/08
Sire: GC, Faerietail Dougal Dam: Karello's Aurora Borealis DOB: 05/30/07
"Cindy" is a tortoiseshell smoke and white, long hair, rumpy, female Manx. Cindy seems to be aware of her name sake and lives up to the title as often as she can. She's very pretty and knows it! More coming...
Karello's Miss America
Sire: GC, Faerietail Dougal Dam: Karello's Aurora Borealis DOB: 05/30/07
"Miss A" is a tortoiseshell and white, long hair, rumpy, female Manx. As a kitten, Miss A strutted around like the world was her pearl and she was Miss America. As time went by the name stuck and she tries her best to live up to it. More coming...
Karello's My Black Sambo
Sire: GC, BW, RW MinusDeTails Northern Exposure Dam: Karello's Ebony DOB: 06/02/07
"Bo Bo" is a solid black (no lockets), short hair, rumpy, male Manx. Similiar to his father PJ, Sambo got his name from his great grand father Briar-Brae My Black Sambo who was our foundation male. With the quality of boning and size Sambo has at such a young age there's no doubt he'll be as big as his great grandfather and father, and then some! I'm really excited to see him develop and use him in my breeding program.
Karello's Aslan
Sire: GC, BW, RW MinusDeTails Northern Exposure Dam: Briar-Brae Catherine Willows DOB: 06/18/07
"Aslan" is a red tabby, long hair, rumpy, male Manx. Aslan is co-owned with Debbie Metz and Linda Rogge. He is currently being shown in CFA in Championship class by Debbie and Linda. He is enjoying a life of royality and has completely swept Debbie and Linda of their feet as well as stolen their hearts within days of going to live with them. Aslan has begun to put on size and weight and is growing into a solid, handsome young Manx man. He is built like his father and has the same sweet temperment...WOW! His coat and markings are something one doesn't often get this early. Babies from this beautiful boy would be a dream come true for all of us and are being planned!
Faerietail Liam
Sire: CH Kabelkim Coober Pedy of Faerietail Dam: Karello's Painted Lady DOB: 07/06/07
"Liam" (or "Mister Liam", the name came about because it just fits him, he's so sweet and loving, and such a gentleman!) is a brown tabby, short hair, rumpy, male Manx. Liam is owned/bred by Phyllis and Trisha Durdy. He is visiting the east coast and was being shown but has decided the smells this time of year shows produce offend him. (unaltered males) It's quite apparent he's begun to think more about girls than having a blast and doing well at shows. Perhaps females and kittens will be in his future, we'll see.

GP, Karello's Mr. Chaps Grand Premier
"Cowboy" is a black and white (bi-color), long hair, rumpy riser, neutered, male Manx. His sire is GC, BW MinusDeTails Northern Exposure. His dam is Karello's Sam's Calleigh Duquesne. Cowboy achieved the title of Grand Premier at the Pawprints In The Sand cat show on February 2nd, 2008. Cowboy is a very special boy, he is very comunicative though various looks and expressions he displays. He comes when he is called and is just as sweet as he looks. Despite his markings on his face, his name came from the cute pair of little cowboy chaps he has on his behind.
Karello's Northern Lights Champion
"Angel" is a calico, long hair, rumpy riser, female Manx. Her sire is BW, RW, GC MinusDeTails Northern Exposure. Her dam is LaBearer Red Hot Tumalle of Karello, DM. Angel is taking time out from showing to mature and become a Mother. She is co-bred and owned by my daughter, Casey. I have hopes of my daughter showing her again in the future.
MinusDeTails Northern Exposure Grand Champion, Breed Winner, Regional Winner
Granded 10/09/04
Northern Exposure, aka "PJ" is a bi-color, black and white, long hair, rumpy, male Manx. His sire is GC, MinusDeTails Nacho Ordinaire, his dam is MinusDeTails X's and O's. PJ comes to us through the courtesy and generosity of Kay, Terry and Harley DeVilbiss of MinusDeTails Cattery. PJ is registered with and shown in The Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA)currently. He is also registered with The International Cat Association (TICA). He has been shown in both organizations by Kay and Terry DeVilbiss. He has achieved many titles in both associations. Although he's not been shown in a few years, his introduction back into showing has been very successful and he continues to enjoy it immensely! This show season we hope to add Regional Winner to his accomplishments in showing!
Karello's Northern Express Grand Champion, 2nd Best of Breed
Granded 03/24/07
"Cookie" is a black and white (bi-color), long hair, dimple rumpy, female Manx. Her sire is GC, BW, RW MinusDeTails Northern Exposure. Her dam is Karello's Sam's Calleigh Duquesne. Cookie has earned the title's of Grand Champion and 2nd Best of Breed, nationally in CFA. She has since been sent to co-owner Jamie Daily of Atacatsa cattery in Texas. Jamie plans to show Cookie in TICA and begin a new breeding program with her. My deepest appreciation and gratitude goes to Jamie for her patience while waiting for Cookie to come home.
Karello's Sam's Son Grand Champion, Grand Premier, Regional Winner

"Samson" is a cream classic tabby, long hair, dimple rumpy, neutered, male Manx. His sire is CH, Briar-Brae My Black Sambo, his dam is LaBearer's Lady In Red. Samson was CFA's 3rd Best Manx-Long Hair Division, nationally for show season 2002-2003. Also, Best of Breed-LH Division and Best of Color Manx-Long Hair Division in Great Lakes Region (4). During show season 2003-2004 Samson was CFA's 2nd Best Manx-Long Hair Division nationally, BEST Long Hair Manx and BEST Cream Tabby Manx in Great Lakes Region (4) Show season (2004-2005) Samson had another wonderful year of showing adding Regional Winner to his list of titles. ~ OUTSTANDING!! ~ WAY TO GO SAMSON!!!~
* Special "thank you" to CFA Allbreed Judges Loretta Baugh and JoAnn Miksa-Blackwell for finaling Samson, giving him the last needed points for him to grand in Championship and Premiership, seeing in Samson what was always there a Grand cat!
* Samson made an appearence the end of this show season (2006-2007). We were asked to see if he still enjoyed showing enough to participate in a Parade of Breeds at an upcoming show. He still enjoys showing just as much as he always has, you may find him at the next Parade of Breeds presentation representing the long haired Manx.
Karello's Play It Again Sam's Grand Champion, Grand Premier, Regional Winner
ONE SHOW GRAND!!! Granded 11/28/04
"Sam" is a cream, classic tabby (circular lines) and white, short hair, dimple rumpy, male Manx. His sire is CH, Briar-Brae My Black Sambo, his dam is LaBearer Red Hot Tumalle of Karello. He is full brother, different litter to GC, RW Karello's Sam's I Am of Faerietail, CH, GP Karello's Sam's Bella Luna, GP Karello's Sam's Rum Tum Tugger and half brother to GC, GP, RW Karello's Sam's Son. Sam was a "One Show Grand" at 8 1/2 months old in four rings at the Buffalo, N.Y. show finishing with 314 points. A one show grand and regional win is really something that is rare for the Manx breed at this age. Manx don't usually mature completely until they're two to three years old. Sam did very well showing as a kitten, he finished Kitten Class with 2059.20 points which earned him a 9th Best Kitten Regional Award in my region. Sam is a darling Manx, we adore each other. My dreams of him being a sire were easily put aside when he was spending more time away from me (due to spraying) and less time by my side. So, I neutered him, and now were both much happier.
Karello's Sam's Rum Tum Tugger Grand Premier
Granded 05/07/2005
"Tugger" is a red classic tabby and white, long hair, rumpy riser, neutered, Manx. His sire is CH, Briar-Brae My Black Sambo, his dam is LaBearer Red Hot Tumalle of Karello, DM. Tugger is full brother, same litter to Sam above, half brother to Samson above and full brother, different litter to Sammy below. He is a silly, sweet Manx fellow whom I made my lap kitty after he achieved his title of Grand Premier.
Emau's Amon-Re Star of Karello Grand Premier
ONE SHOW GRAND!!! Granded 09/06/03
"Re" (pronounced RA) is a silver, neutered, Egyptian Mau. Re's sire is GC, Emau's Kestrel and his dam is Emau's El Shahab, DM. Re came to us courtesy of the generosity of Melanie Morgan of Emau Cattery. Melanie placed Ra with my daughter Casey, she is Casey's CFA Mentor. I can't say enough about how good Melanie has been to me and my family, she has taught us so much. She is loved and adored very much by all. Although Re belongs to Casey I've had a lot of fun showing him myself. He hasn't been shown that much lately, he's living life on easy street. Re was a "One Show Grand" at the National Capital show in September 2003. This is quite a feat to accomplish, especially at such a large, competitive show. Re has always been a fantastic ambassador for his breed. He is a much loved pet and companion. If I have it my way, he hasn't seen the last of a show hall! Although, Mau's can decide one day they no longer want to show and that is it, time will tell.
* To learn more about these beautiful, regal, intelligent, Egyptian Mau's or inquire about availability, get in touch with Melanie Morgan. Melanie is one of the nicest people I know. Her love and dedication to her breed is uncompariable. To contact her from my website, simply click on the "Emau Cattery" icon on my navigation bar to the left to be taken to her web site.
Highlander Denali of Karello Grand Premier
Granded 9/10/2005
"Denali" is a brown, classic tabby, neutered, registered Maine Coon cat. His sire is GC, RW Shubacoons Kenworth of Highlander, his dam is CH Highlander Danyelle. Denali comes to us of the generosity of Teresa Signore of Highlander Cattery. He is my husband's cat, he's wanted a Maine Coon for as long as I've known him. Denali is now retired, he's decided that he likes it better not getting groomed all the time and being shown. Although he totally enjoys the people in the benching area and is fine with that.
A special "Thank you" to Sharon Powell for introducing us to Teresa Signore, making our dreams for a Maine Coon come true! Teresa is a wonderful, caring person and good friend, we hope we've honored her in everything we've done with her "Nali".
* To learn more about the gentle giants Maine Coon cat or inquire about availability, get in touch with Teresa Signore. To do this from my website, simply click on the "Highlander Cattery" logo on my navigation bar to the left to be taken to her web site.
Tigerwings Landon of Karello Premier
"Landon" is a brown, mackerel (straight lines) tabby, neutered, registered Devon Rex. His sire is GC, RW Dayclear Snickers of Northshore, his dam is GC, Karmacatz Sophie Kate of Tigerwings. Landon belongs to my son Ethan, he filled the void in Ethan's life when he lost his favortie Manx, Cami. Landon comes to us courtsey of Kathy Rutledge of Tigerwings Cattery whom Ethan loves to steward for and has followed around for quite some time admiring her Devon's. Devon's are a very, very sweet, somewhat calm and a loving breed of cat. They are very people oriented, Landon thinks nothing of spending his whole day in my lap, of course he can't sit still that long. These days, Landon can be found finding all sorts of mischief and acting in the true spirit of his breed. They don't refer to them as acting like Pixies for nothing.
* To learn more about the darling Devon Rex cat or inquire about availability, get in touch with Kathy Rutledge or Linda Peterson. Kathy and Linda are wonderful people to work with. They have some of the most darling little Devon babies you ever saw. To do this from my website, simply click on the "Tigerwings" logo on my navigation bar to the left to be taken to their web sites.
Karello's Jedi Master Yoda Grand Premier
Granded 08/09/03
"Yoda" is white with odd eyes, short hair, dimple rumpy, neuter Manx. His sire is CH, Briar-Brae My Black Sambo and his dam is Slieau's Snow White of Karello. Yoda enjoyed showing in his younger years, but found the breaks from showing were too difficult for him to get back into the swing of things. Yoda is a darling, sweet boy and is always by my side or on my lap. However, it is always on his terms, smart boy!
Karello Rolley Pulley Grand Premier
Granded 11/23/99
"Rolley" is a brown classic tabby, short hair, dimple rumpy, neutered Manx. Rolley's sire is CH, Briar-Brae My Black Sambo and his dam is Briar-Brae Chi Chi of Karello. Sadly, Rolley is no longer with us but his memory lives on through his brother Tony. Each time a brown tabby kitten is born in our cattery we think of Rolley, Rolley was Karello Cattery's first Grand in CFA. Rolley was a good cat to make my first show cat, his coat length and color was easy to groom, he was patient, loving, enjoyed showing and the attention that came with it. However, he did have his one fault, he will be best remembered for, his nickname which was "Hannibal", he did not like having his hair blown dry..OUCH!
Karello's Oliver Twist Champion, Premier
"Oliver" is a red classic tabby, dimple rumpy, neuter Manx. His sire is CH, Brair-Brae My Black Sambo and his dam is LaBearer's Lady In Red of Karello. Sadly, Oliver isn't with us anymore. Oliver never lived to become a Grand Premier but he was well on his way when I lost him. In his heart and mine, Oliver was already a Grand Premier, that's all that really matters. Oliver was a very unique cat, he was my favorite cat and best friend, he is still sadly missed.
~ Regional Winners ~
Karello's Sam's I Am of Faerietail Grand Champion, Regional Winner
04/30/04
"Sammy" is a red classic tabby and white, short hair, rumpy, Manx male. His sire is CH, Briar-Brae My Black Sambo and his dam is LaBearer Red Hot Tumalle of Karello. Phyllis Durdy and I currently co-own Sammy. He resides with Phyllis but will be coming home, to Karello Cattery sometime in March of 2007. Sammy was owned and shown as a kitten and young male by Barbara St. Georges of Briar-Brae Cattery in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Barb showed him to a 9th Best Regional Kitten Win show season 2003-2004 in her region, Gulf Shore. Sammy is now being used for stud, he has sired several grands for Barb. I have hopes he will produce some wonderful kittens for Phyllis and I.
